Project Summary
Glastonbury is renowned for its music, but behind the scenes, there's much more going on. Founded by dairy farmer Michael Eavis in 1970, the festival is also a working farm. Everywhere you look, from the Wi-Fi cows at the charging tent to the early morning sound of tractors delivering milk to campers, the farm truly is the heart of the festival - and the other headline acts: the cows.
Having witnessed the Glastonbury experience first-hand, this in-house original project was a natural choice. This 60-second engaging infographic highlights ten facts about Glastonbury Festival, focusing on the dairy farm at its heart. The aim was to present the festival from a different perspective, exploring the farm's unique role in the event. The narrative gives the cows their own personalities and depicts their activities, from mowing the grass to enjoying the comforts of the "Mootel." Designs featured textures and gradients to add depth, creating a visually engaging story.
A fantastic score was composed by Alastair McNamara to emphasise the tone of the narrative. Rico Vina's voiceover was then edited and synced with the animation, providing an informative and entertaining glimpse into the often-overlooked aspects of Glastonbury Festival.
